Uganda nothobranch
Nothobranchius ugandensis "UGN 09-3"
About me: Hello, I am a uganda nothobranch minakulu. I feel especially comfortable if you keep me in soft water with peat filtration. I also especially like it when you put lots of plants in my aquarium, as well as a small container with peat or coconut fibers for spawning. Concerning the socialization it is to know that you can put me with other species of my kind and catfishes in one tank. However, long-finned fish are not suitable. I like to nibble their fins. It is also important that you do not cross me with other species. Crosses are not suitable for breeding!
General information: The males have a white ground color and a red-orange tail. The dorsal fin and anal fin are light blue in color with red-brown spots. In addition, the fish are red-brown in color from the head to the dorsal fin. Females are solid brown in color. (In short: males are more colorful than the females).
